M. Tech. (Env. Sc & Engg.)

The Department offers post-graduate academic programmes of M. Tech. (Env. Sc & Engg,) and Ph. D. (Env. Sc. & Engg./ Environmental Sc.) The regular three Semester M. Tech programme was started in the Academic Year 1990-91, which later extended to 4 Semesters in 2003-04. The course structure of the programme comprises two Semester course studies followed by Training/ Minor Project and Major Project work in III & IV Semesters. Over 120 students successfully completed this program have been well received by various industrial, research, regulatory and consultancy organizations

B.Tech (Env. Engg.)

The Department has started B.Tech.(Environmental Engg) from the year 2006-07 and got an overwhelming response from students, industries, regulatory bodies, R&D and consultancy organisations. Over 25 students have already joined this program.

This program covers basic engineering and science subjects in first two semesters. The subjects on Air, Water and Soil Quality Monitoring, Assessment and Management, Socio-economics, Environmental Legislation, EIA, Audit, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Ecology & Microbiology, Environmental Geotechnology, Wastewater Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulics, Remote Sensing & GIS, etc. are covered in other six semesters.

It also covers Environmental Leadership Projects. The centre has state of the art facilities for laboratory practicals and hands on training.

Well-qualified, experienced and young faculty, provision of visiting faculty. ¨ It will cater the needs of industries: Chemicals, Metallurgy, Mining and Allied Industries, Petroleum, Pulp & Paper, Textiles Industries etc.
