The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has two Software Laboratories that remain open round the clock and also a Hardware Laboratory. The laboratories are equipped with state of the art machines and software. The department has its own LAN connected to the backbone network of ISM. Email and Internet access facilities to the 2 Mbps line are made available through the Internet Gateway available at ISM.

The software laboratories consists of a Sun Sparc-20 Server (Sun Solaris 7.0), 3 IBM servers, thin Clients with the accessibility to Linux/Windows 2000/Novel, Pentium 4 workstations running Linux, windows 2000 Advanced server and high end PCs all networked with 100 Mbps LAN. Software include C/C++ compilers, BASIC, PERL, LISP Interpreters, the Turbo Software Development suite, Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, J2EE ,Oracle 9i, Db2, MATLAB, MS-SQL.
Hardware laboratory is also well equipped with state art resources for conducting laboratory classes on Digital Circuits, Computer Organization & Architecture, VLSI and Microprocessor Based Systems.

The department has its own library with a collection of essential text and reference books and computer magazines. Video CDs of various subjects are also available. The department has the access to online journals and articles of IEEE, ACM & others provided by the Central Library.
