Dr. G.P. Biswas is the Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engg., Indian school of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad, since 1999. Before joining ISM, he was engaged in a research project on the “Designing of CA/PCA based BIST structure for VLSI (soft/hard) cores”, sponsored by M/s Fujitsu Microelectronics, USA, with the Dept. of Comp. Sc. & Tech., BE College, Sibpur, Howrah, WB. He has around 14 years of teaching and research experience, where he teaches a number of UG/PG papers including Theory of Computation, Computer Org/Arch., Computer Networks, VLSI Designs, etc., and published around 19 research papers in Journals and Conference/Seminar Proceedings. Dr. Biswas has guided several B. Tech/ M. Tech. projects. His research interest includes Cellular Automata (CA), VLSI designs, Computer Networks and Data communication. Currently he is carrying out a MHRD R&D project of amount 12.0 Lakhs on VLSI designs.

Prasanta K. Jana joined Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad as an Assistant Professor in the year 2000. Currently he is an Associate Professor. He was a faculty in the department of Computer Science & Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra from 1989 October till 2000 November. He also worked as a visiting scientist at the ACM Unit of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata in 2003. In his about 20 years of teaching and research carrier, Dr. Jana has contributed 57 research papers in several refereed journals and conference proceedings of National and International reputes. His main research interests include parallel algorithms, optoelectronic parallel computing, interconnection networks, computational biology and sensor networks. He is senior member of IEEE, USA. He served as reviewers of many international journals including IEEE Trans. on Parallel & Distri. Systems, IEEE Comm. Letters, J. of Parallel & Distri. Computing, J. of Supercomputing, J. of Pattern Recognition, Algorithmica and Intl. J. of Computers and Applications and also acted as the program committee members of many international conferences like ICCTA-07, EAIT-06, IWDC-04, ADCOM-99 etc. He acted as the Convener of the National Seminar on Recent Advances on Information Technology 2007 (RAIT-07) and 1st Workshop on Parallel & Distributed Computing (WPDC-08) and also the Co-Chair of the National Seminar RAIT-09. He visited the University of Aizu, Wakamatsu, Japan in 2003 and Las Vegas, USA in 2008 for academic purposes.

Dr. Chiranjeev Kumar joined Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad as Senior Lecturer in the year 2005 and has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering from June 2006. Before that, he joined Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, MNNIT, (Formerly Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College, MNREC) Allahabad, UP, in 1998 and worked as Part-Time Lecturer for five semesters. In 2002, he joined Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology, IERT, Allahabad, UP and worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering till June 2005. He has about 6 years of teaching experience. He was the Gold Medallist of his M.E. batch at MNNIT, Allahabad in year 2001. In year 1998, he was certified as a Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) and Certified Novell Engineer (CNE). During August 11, 2001 to March 1, 2002, he also worked as a Course Counselor for IGNOU, M. N. R. Study Center, Allahabad.

Sachin Tripathi joined Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad on 21st November 2005 and has been working as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Before that he joined, Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia, West Bengal, in July 2005, as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He was selected in Early Faculty Induction Programme (EFIP-03) sponsored by AICTE, conducted by IIT- Chennai. He has around two years of teaching and research experiences. During M.Tech. Degree in ISM, Mr. Tripathi did research work on Internet multicasting and applications.
