Apart from the academics the students of the department actively participate in both national and international workshops/conferences. The workshops/conferences include:

1. G.Praveen choudary, of final year, B.Tech attended the 7th International conference on Information Technology(CIT 2004), Hyderabad, India to present a paper on “Parallel forecasting algorithm on linear array”.

2. 9 Students (4 B.Tech 3rd year and 5 M.Tech 1st year) attended workshop on "Speaker verification and identification" organised by Dept. of IT, GOI at ISI, Calcutta.

3. Anisetty Krishna of 3rd year B.Tech attended "TCS Excellence in Computer Science Week, Pune" organised jointly with UNU/IIST on Security Modeling.

4. Three Students, Sandeep kumar, Krishna Murari, Dhananjay Kumar of 3rd year B.Tech attended the conference on "Popularisation of Science and Technology" organised by kalinga Foundation trust, Bhubaneswar, Orissa.
