Before joining teaching profession, Dr. T.K.Chatterjee served TISCO for five years. He has about 21 years of teaching and research experience in I.S.M, Dhanbad. He was the coordinator for modernization of Electrical Engineering Labororites in the Department. Dr. Chatterjee participated in a number of R&D projects and was the investigator of UGC funded SAP project “On-line conditioning monitoring of heavy duty electrical drives”. 
He also successfully completed a few consultancy projects like “ Performance of Main Mine Ventilation Fan” and “Assessment of Safety Circuits for 176 Kw friction winder” . He also delivered lectures in various in-campus and off-campus short-term courses on Mine Electrical Engineering. Dr. Chatterjee underwent three months training on Longwall Electrical System in U.K. under British Council Fellowship.

Somnath Pan was born in a village of West Midnapore district of West Bengal on 25th July, 1966 and was subsequently moved to Barasat, an urban of Kolkata where he completed his schooling from Barasat Govt. High School. He obtained his Bachelor Degree and Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He received the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. He joined ISM University in 1995 as a Lecturer and currently, he is working as an Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering. He has successfully completed three interdisciplinary R&D Projects – one sponsored by UGC and two others sponsored by MHRD. One interdisciplinary R&D Project sponsored by MHRD is ongoing. He has about 14 years of extensive teaching experience and about 18 years of research experience. He has versatile interest in varieties areas of science and knowledge.

Pradip Kumar Sadhu obtained his Bachelor’s degree and Post-Graduate Degree in Electrical Engg. from Jadavpur University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engg. from Jadavpur University. He served B.I.T., Mesra, Ranchi as faculty member of Electrical & Electronics Engg. Department. Currently, he is working as a Professor in Electrical Engineering Department of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, India. He has total experience of 18 years in teaching and industry. He has got already three Patents. He has several publications in International and National journals and has also presented several papers in International conferences. He is reviewer of various international journals like IEEE, IJCEE etc. He is the principal investigator of UGC funded Major Research project “Simulation of high-frequency mirror inverter for energy efficient induction heated cooking oven using PSPICE” w.e.f. 01 / 04 / 2008 to 31 / 03 / 2011. He has guided six research students in Master of Engineering level and five research students in Ph.D. (Engineering) level. In addition, two more patents in his name are under process

Dr. Kalyan Chatterjee has about 6 years teaching and research experience. He has successfully completed one AICTE funded project and coordinate one AICTE- ISTE sponsored short term training programme on “ MATLAB Oriented Electrical System Modelling and Real time Control”. Dr . K. Chatterjee has guided eight students in Master of Engineering level. He also delivered lectures in various short -term courses on soft computing techniques application on power system.

B. Bhattacharyya obtained his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degree in the field of Electrical Machines and Power system from Calcutta University in 1993 and 1995 respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Engineering from the department of Electrical Engineering, Jadavpur University, India in 2006. Currently he is Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering in the Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad, India. He had served department of Electrical Engineering of National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India for six years as senior Lecturer. He was in the position of Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering department of BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan, India for about one year. He worked as Assistant Engineer (Electrical Test), in a cable industry for about three years. He is also the principal Investigator of an UGC funded project titled, “Optimum Allocation of FACTS devices for the increased load ability of Power Systems in Deregulated Electricity Market” w.e.f 01. 02. 2011. His research area includes Evolutionary approaches, power system optimization, planning and dispatch, FACTS Controller.

Currently, he is in the capacity of assistant professor in the department of electrical engineering of Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India. Prior to his current assignment, he served both industry and academics for nearly about seven years each. He has published and presented many papers in both national and international level conferences and journals of repute.
