Dr. S. K. Paul did his B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. in Radio Physics and Electronics from the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta.
He has served Webel Telecommunication Industries, Kolkata; Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Kolkata; Advanced Training Institute for Electronics & Process Instrumentation(ATI-EPI), Hyderabad; North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli and Delhi College of Engineering(DCE), Delhi in various capacities. At present, he is Professor in the Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad.
His research interest includes Microelectronic Devices, Electronic Properties of Semiconductors and Analog VLSI Circuits. Dr. Paul has more than 40 research publications in International and National journals of repute and Conferences.

Dr. V. Kumar received Ph. D. in 1980 and presently working as Head, Department of Electronics & Instrumentation, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. Prior to that, he has served as Scientist, CIMFR, Dhanbad, Visiting Scientist at CNR, Frascati, Roma, Italy during 1983-84 and Visiting Fellow at Institute of Microwave and Photonics, Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds, UK during January-February 2009. From July 1992 to September 2004 he has worked as Assistant Professor and became Associate Professor in September 2004 at ISM
He has attended number of international conferences in India and abroad and gave seminar talk at University of Porto, Portugal; NATO-ASI Courses, University of New Mexico, USA; NTU, Singapore; International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy, and Institute of Microwave and Photonics, Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds, UK.
He has organized a National Seminar “Frontiers in Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation and Information Technology- FECIIT 2008” at ISM, Dhanbad during 13-15 October, 2008 as Chairman-cum-Convener. He was Co-Convener of third “Indian Conference on Computer Applications in Mineral Industry (ICCAMI-2001)” jointly organized by CIMFR, Dhanbad and ISM, Dhanbad at Hotel Le Maridien, New Delhi, during 17-18 March, 2001.
His research interest includes various electronic, optical, thermal and elastic properties of Opto-electronic Materials. He has developed number of fiber optic sensors for mining industry. He has published 144-research papers in reputed national and International Journals (67) and Conferences (77). More than 15- research papers have been cited in different books and about 50 in different research papers. He has authored a book and likely to be published by a German publisher. He has edited “Proceedings FECIIT-2008” containing 92 research papers and 439 pages. He is reviewer of Int. J. of Phys. & Chem. of Solids, Int. J. of Physical Sciences, Ind. J. of Pure & Appl. Physics and Current Science. He has completed 6-numbers of R& D projects, guided 3-Ph.D. and 8-M. Tech. students.

After doing Three years M.Sc (Tech) in applied Physics with Electronics as Special from Andhra University in the year 1970, joined CMRS (presently CIMFR) as JRF in 1972. From 1973 worked in the Instrumentation division of CMRS as SSA, Scintist A and Scintist B. In 1979 joined one year PG diploma in Electronics Design technology in CEDT ,IISc, Bangalore. During the tenure in CMRS worked for the development of Central Despatcher system for monitoring Underground Environmental parameters like Methane, Temeperature, etc,. Joined ISM in 1982 as STO in the Electronics & Instrumentation department. Then promoted as Assistant Professor in 1987. Got Ph.D degree from ISM in the year 2007. Later got promoted as Associate Professor. |

Dr Vishnu Priye is currently Associate Professor at Electronics & Instrumentation Department, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. Before joining ISM Dhanbad, he was Senior Scientist in Technology Mission Project on Fiber Optic Components, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi from May 1996 to March 24, 1999. He was on Japanese Government Scholarship at Electronics and Information Science Department at Kyoto Institute of Technology, Kyoto, Japan from October 1991 to March 1996. He was awarded Doctor of Engineering from that Institute. He worked on Teacher Fellowship under the Faculty Improvement Program of UGC, India at Physics Department, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi from January 1985 to January, 1989 and was awarded Ph D for working in the field of Fiber Optic Communication. Prior to that he worked as a Lecturer in a Constituent College of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya from October 1982.
He was Visiting Scholar at Electronics and Information Science Department at Kyoto Institute of Technology, Kyoto, Japan from June 1, 2001 to August 31, 2001.
He is author of about forty five professional papers in International Journals and International Conferences of repute. He has developed and patented software EDFAsim for modeling Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers. He was Principal Investigator of the R & D Project on development of Broadband Tunable Fiber Source for WDM Application funded (Rs 33.29 Lakhs) by Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, New Delhi. Currently he is Principal Investigator of the Thrust Area Project “Modeling of EDFA for C - Band”, Financed by Ministry of Human Resource & Development (Rs 18.00 Lakhs).

Dr. Subrata Bhattacharya passed B.Tech in Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in the year 1985, M.Tech and Ph.D. from the same institute in the years 1988 and 1996, respectively. His specialisation in M.Tech was Satellite Communication & Remote Sensing Engineering. The research work for Ph.D. degree was on Segmentation and Classification of Range Images.
After obtaining B.Tech degree, he served as Management Trainee (Technical) in Durgapur Steel Plant, West Bengal. He also worked as Electronics Engineer in Micronics Corporation, Kolkata for about one year. Then he joined Regional Engineering College (at present, National Institute of Technology), Durgapur as Lecturer in Electronics and Communication Engineering Department in 1990. Later he became Senior Lecturer at NIT, Durgapur. In the year 1999, he joined Indian School of Mines University (ISMU) as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Instrumentation (E&I). At present, he is an Associate Professor in the same department at ISMU.
He was the key person in development of Digital Signal Processing Laboratory in E&I department at ISMU. He was the principal investigator of an MHRD-funded project for Development of Digital Signal Processing Laboratory. At present, he is working on Development of an optimized Speech Coder based on Human Auditory Model and its implementation in real-time. Other works being carried out under his supervision include Cancellation of Echo and Interference in real-time (especially for speech) and Implementation of Image Processing algorithms in real-time.
He is the adapted author of the book titled Schaum’s Outlines Digital Signal Processing, published by Tata McGraw-Hill Publishing Co. Ltd. He is a regular reviewer of books published by eminent publishers in the area of Signal Processing and is also a reviewer of the papers for International conferences like Frontiers in Education (FIE).

Sushrut Das was born in Serampore, in the state of West Bengal. After doing his schooling at various places, he joined Belur Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira in 1996, and completed Bachelor of Science degree in 1999 from the Department of Physics. He received Master of Science degree in Physics with specialization in Electronics from the Department of Physics, Banaras Hindu University in 2001. After completion of Master in Science Degree he joined Burdwan University and completed Master of Technology degree in Microwave in 2003 from the Department of Physics. He worked towards his doctoral degree till January, 2007 in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
In his area of specialization, he is interested in Electromagnetics, Antennas, Microwave Circuits, Numerical Techniques in Electromagnetics and Electromagnetic Interference and Electromagnetic Compatibility. Dr. Das has published twenty one papers in journals and conferences and presently is the Principal Investigator of one DST sponsored project.

Dr. Mukul Kummar Das was born in West Bengal, on 10th February, 1974. He joined Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad on 24th September 2008 as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Instrumentation. Before that he worked in the A K Choudhury School of Information Technology, University of Calcutta as a lecturer on full time contract basis from September 2004 to September 2008. In the same time he worked as a teacher fellow in the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics under the same University. He was awarded Ph.D. for working in the field of Photonic Devices in the year of 2008.
He received B.Sc.(physics Hons.) degree from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, University of Calcutta in 1995. He did his B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta in the year of 1998 and 2000 respectively. After doing M.Tech., he worked as a Lecturer in the Murshidabad College of Engineering and Technology, West Bengal from September 2000 to August 2003. During August 2003 to September 2004, he served as Lecturer in the Bengal Institute of Technology, West Bengal. He is recipient of Young Scientist award in the General Assembly of International Union of Radio Science (URSI GA), Chicago, USA, 2008. He worked on Internship Research Fellowship at Ecole Polytechnique, France from June 2008 to August 2008 under the Internship Research Program of University of Calcutta. Subindu Kumar was born in Kolkata, India, in 1976. He received the B. Sc degree in Physics (Hons.) from University of Calcutta, India, in 1997, the M. Sc (Electronics) degree from Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur (M.P), India, in 1999 and M. Tech degree in Radio Physics and Electronics from University of Calcutta in 2001. He then joined Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT), Siliguri (Dist: Darjeeling), India, as a faculty member. From 2004 he started working towards his Ph. D degree in Solid State Electronics (III-V Semiconductor Nanostructures) from the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta. He completed his Ph. D in 2009. He served SIT from 01/02/2001 to 15/07/2009.
He joined ISM Dhanbad on 21/07/2009 and is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Dept. of Electronics and Instrumentation, ISM. He is the recipient of the University Gold Medal from Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur (M. P). He is a life member of Semiconductor Society of India (SSI). His research field includes semiconductor nanostructures, VLSI circuits and systems.

Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Raghuwanshi, is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation at Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad since March 2010.
He received the Bachelors degree in electronic and instrumentation engineering from S.G.S. I.T.S. (Autonomous Institute) Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India and the Masters degree in Solid State Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, in Aug. 1999 and Jan. 2002, respectively. He joined Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in Feb. 2002 as a Research Engineer and remained there till Sept. 2004 end. Since July 2009, he has been obtained PhD degree in the field of optics from the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has been worked for 6 month as a Lecturer in the department of ECE Asansol Engineering College Asansol (Burdman district) West Bengal India. There after he served as an Assistant professor in SPSU University Udaipur Rajasthan and Mody Institute of technology and science Lakshmangarh (Deemed University) Sikar, Rajasthan India respectively.
His current research area of interest is inhomogeneous optical waveguide and nonlinear optics.
