The following national international seminars/conferences were organised by
the department ever since its inception:
• National Seminar on Fine Particles Processing
• International Conference on Computer Applications in Mineral Beneficiation
• International Seminar on Mineral Processing Technology
• International conference on Coal and Mineral Beneficiation (ICCAMB)
Beside these, the Department has been conducting other Workshops on topical issues from time to time. The department has recently signed an MOU of Rs 1.0 Crore with TATA STEEL for the establishment of TATA STEEL chair in the department for furthering research activities.
