Research and Teaching Experience more than 10 years
Significant contributions to refinements of interpretation methods and modeling in geoelectromagnetics, notably the magnetotelluric (MT) methods in characterizing the structure of the crust and upper mantle. Specifically these include the following areas:
1. First to simulate the behavior of birds in optimization of Geophysical Problem
2. Inversion and Interpretation of Resistivity and IP data using Very Fast Simulated Annealing (VFSA) methods of nonlinear inversion, In particular, the focus has been on the quantification of associated uncertainties in the best-fit models. Furthermore, he also obtained layer wise sensitivity and uncertainty estimates for 1-D, DC resistivity and IP data and used posterior correlation matrices to derive measures of interdependence between layer parameters
3. Refined experiment design of MT investigations and development of enhanced resolution electrical conductivity models.
4. How remote can a far remoter reference site for magnetotelluric measurements be?
5. Detection of the Electrical moho.
6. Delineation of electrical anisotropy of the lower lithosphere/asthenosphere.
