Prof. Amares Chattopadhyay is Professor of Mathematics ISM, Dhanbad. He has about 35 years of research and 30 years of teaching experience. Prof. Chattopadhyay was Awarded Atomic Energy Fellowship by the Govt of India during 1973-76 for Ph.D work, Post Doctoral Fellowship for research work in ‘Pierre et Marie Curie University’, Paris, France during 1982-1983, and INSA-Royal Society Fellowship in 1999 for research work in UK. He worked as a Visiting Professor in the TU, Vienna, Austria and also in the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany (DAAD Assignment) during 2002-2003. He received Michael Madhusudan Award in 2004 and Subarna and Sashibhusan Memorial Award, in 2005. He has completed some sponsored projects. A number of students were awarded Ph.D, M.Phil (Maths), M.Tech(CA) under his guidance. He has published more than hundred papers in International / National Journals/ Proceedings. Prof Chattopadhyay has served as reviewers in many International/National journals. He is also Editorial board member of International Journal. Recently he became Fellow (FICDM) of a learned society.

Presently I am handling one departmental research project sanctioned by UGC.

Dr. Gauri Shanker Seth has joined as a lecturer in Applied Mathematics in the Department of Physics and Mathematics, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in 1981. He became Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in 1989 and Associate Professor in 2004. He was visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Engineering, University of Aden, Republic of Yemen during the period 1991-1993.

He has 28 years of teaching experience and 31 years of research experience. He was JRF under ISRO project in the Department of Mathematics, IIT Kharagpur for two years. After that he became SRF of CSIR in the same department. He has supervised 6 students for their Ph.D. degree and 10 students for their M.Phil. degree. He was in editorial board of Proc. Math. Soc. BHU in the year 1994 and 1995. He is reviewer of a number of Journals of national & international repute.

Dr. Shishir Gupta is Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Applied Mathematics,ISMU Dhanbad. Hehas 20 years of teaching experience at B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc. and M.Phil levels. He has supervised to date 2 Ph.D. research programmes and another one is on going. Dr. Gupta is also doing research work along with Dr.A.K.Gupta, Research Co-ordinator, Asansol Engineering College, West Bengal & Prof. S.Dey , Director, BITM Bolpur (West Bengal). Presently interested to study the influence of initial stress, gravity, different types of anisotropy and heterogeneity in the existence of torsional surface waves. Dr, Gupta teaches Numerical Methods, Special functions, Complex Variables, Matrix Theory etc in UG & PG level.

Dr. Upadhyay is a man of mathematical modeling. His research involves the chaos modeling of real world problems related to Ecology, Environment and Disease dynamics. He has 35 publications in international journals and 8 in national/seminar proceedings. He has supervised one student for their Ph.D degree, 5 students for their M. Phil degree, 9 students for M.Sc. (Maths & Comp.) degree and two research fellows is working for their Ph. D degree under his supervision. He has 15 years of research experience and 12 years of teaching experience. He has carried out several sponsored research projects. He successfully completed a research project under Fast track Young Scientists research scheme, Department of Science & Technology Delhi, Government of India and University Grant Commission, Government of India. He has been a visiting fellow in Evolutionary and Organismal biology Unit, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advances Scientific Research, Jakkur, Bangalore and a visiting scientist in Biomathematics group, Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata.

Dr. Singh has published research papers in esteemed journals (National and International) like Hydrology and Earth System Sciences (England), Hydrological Science & Technology (USA), Modeling Measurement and Control (France), Indian Journal of Engineering and Material Sciences, CSIR, New-Delhi, India, Journal of Scientific Research BHU, India, Proceeding of Mathematical Society, BHU, India, Journal of Earth System Science (JESS), Sprniger, Journal of Engineering Mechanics, ASCE, Advances of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics etc. Dr. Singh is the reviewer of Water Resources Research (AGU) and Hydrological Science Journal (IAHS). Dr. Singh is teaching various subject of mathematics at Graduates, Post Graduate and M. Phil levels such as Differential Equation, Complex variable, Integral Equation, Laplace Transformation, Numerical Methods, Computer Programming, Operating Systems, Mechanics, Dynamics of Particle, Dynamics of Rigid Body, Hydrodynamics and Application to Groundwater etc. Dr. Singh has an interest for doing research work in the field of Mathematical Modeling of Groundwater Pollution.
